The Nanaimo Acme Painting Timbermen fell to 0-3 at the President's Cup in Khanawake, Que., on Wednesday.
The Timbermen opened Wednesday with an 8-5 loss to the Calgary Mountaineers, blowing a 4-1 second period lead.
Nanaimo got goals from Joe Fendick, Steve Higgs, Kyle Couling, Kyle Noble and Shane Chalker. Danny Walters stopped 32 of the 40 shots, while Nick Patterson stopped all seven shots he faced.
Nanaimo just couldn't stop Nate Schmidt, who scored five times for Calgary. Tyler Pridham, Jason Crook and Mike Cameron also tallied for the Mountaineers.
In their late game, they were beat 13-7 by the Caughnawaga Indians in the evening.
The Timbermen got two goals a piece from Fendick, Curtis Sim and Ryan Forslund while Jon Diplock scored once. Patterson stopped 42 of the 55 shots he faced in the loss.
Mitch Nanticoke led the Indians with three goals and Natie McComber, Miles Thompson and Angus Leborgne scored twice each.
