LISBON, Portugal - Estoril beat Nacional 3-1 thanks to Brazilian midfielder Evandro's double to start the Portuguese league with a win at home on Saturday.
Djaniny Tavares gave Nacional a bright start with a goal in the 29th minute, but Evandro finished off a team buildup to level for Estoril in the 45th.
Moments later Carlos Alves added a second goal in first-half injury time before Evandro struck again from a cross by Anderson Luis just one minute into the second half.
Also, Guimaraes defeated 10-man Olhanense 2-0 at home thanks to two goals from striker Ouwu Maazou in the 49th and 72nd.
Sebastian Mladen was sent off with a second yellow card in the 66th, hurting Olhanense's fightback.
Braga beat Pacos Ferreira 2-0 Friday to open the league season.
