Zucchini lovers will have one more way to enjoy their favourite vegetable with the Great Zucchini Grand Prix at the Cedar Farmers' Market on Sunday.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Crow and Gate Pub Field, kids will be constructing and racing zucchini racing cars and then competing in a race for the title of the fastest zucchini.
The races are accompanied by music from Donna and Bill Konsorado, as well as local children's entertainer Bill Perison.
Island Face Painting will offer beautiful facial art for all ages, and Muffin Tops will offer free cupcake decorating for kids, to be washed down with some lemonade from two kid-operated stands. There will also be the regular features of the Cedar Farmer's as well, including vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods and crafts.
