There are ways to save your automotive glass to keep it at its best.
Over time, the glass on your vehicle will become scratched, pitted and hazed.
Hey, that's to be expected when it comes up against vandals, bugs, the environment and years of outdoor life.
And if there's no replacement glass available you're out of luck, right? Well, Eastwood's Pro Glass Polishing Kit is a do-it-yourself system that's made to remove both minor and deep scratches from new and older cars.
Each kit includes about a quarter of a kilogram of "Diamond Fast Powder", a 7.5-centimetre felt polishing pad and backing pad plus a spindle adapter that attaches both pieces to your variable-speed drill.
Note that using the kit requires wearing protective gloves, eyewear and a respirator mask. The kit sells for US $50 while the Pro Glass Polishing Kit for Deep Scratches sells for US $70.
Both can be obtained at www.eastwood.com.
