RICHMOND, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA) says it has been awarded an $11.3-million contract to provide aerial surveillance solutions to the Department of National Defence.
The company said the contract includes unmanned aerial vehicles, full-motion video exploitation tools, training, maintenance, and support services.
MDA, best-known for the robotic arms used on the space station and U.S. space shuttles, also provides satellite data and surveillance information and technology. It has some 4,500 employees operating from 11 locations in the United States, Canada and internationally.
