DARTMOUTH, N.S. - Chorus Aviation (TSX:CHR.B) says Jazz Aviation crew schedulers represented by Unifor have ratified a four-year contract, ensuring labour stability until the next round of bargaining for all its employees begins in two years.
Terms of the agreement reached Sept. 6 weren't immediately available.
The new contract expires June 30, 2016, and applies to 40 Jazz employees based in Halifax.
Jolene Mahody, chief operating officer at Jazz, said the approval resolves the last outstanding collective agreement until talks begin in the third quarter of 2015.
The Halifax-based company which owns Jazz operates most of Air Canada's (TSX:AC.B) regional service in Canada and to some destinations in the United States and offers corporate charters using five Bombardier aircraft.
