MONTREAL - CAE (TSX:CAE) has announced a spate of new military training, flight simulator and simulator upgrade contracts worth about $140 million.
About $85 million of the new contracts have been awarded to CAE USA and include options valued at up to $50 million over the next five years.
The contracts include an option exercised by the U.S. air force for KC-135 tanker aircrew training services, KC-135 simulator upgrades and a new contract to provide operations and maintenance support for new KC-135 boom operator weapon systems trainers.
CAE also says it has been awarded a contract by a customer it did not identify to design and manufacture a military helicopter full-mission simulator, while the German air force awarded CAE contracts to perform several upgrades to its Tornado full-mission simulators.
CAE provides civilian and military flight training services and equipment.
