TORONTO - Investment firm Dundee Corp. (TSX:DC.A) is investing in CNSX, operator of the Canadian National Stock Exchange and Pure Trading.
The CNSX is one of Canada's smaller financial markets, with about 180 equity listings, 18 debt securities and seven structured products. More than half of its issues are junior mining exploration companies.
Financial terms of Dundee's investment weren't disclosed, but chief executive and president Ned Goodman will join the CNSX board as deputy chairman.
Through Dundee, Goodman has been an early-stage investor in a number of sectors including energy, real estate, mining and metals.
Dundee, which Goodman controls, is the former majority owner of DundeeWealth, a mutual fund and wealth management company, which was sold to Bank of Nova Scotia.
